What Christmas is all about

Today I saw something I haven't seen before, or if I have it was a long time ago. We were at Bethel Church for the Christmas Day service which, by the way, was wonderful. We were treated to a Johnson family tradition - Bill's mother playing Silent Night on the piano. Beautiful, sheer class.

But what was so amazing was this:

Bill Johnson: Is there any one here who has kids at home, but who has not been able to do anything for them because you have no money?

A few people stood....

Then an amazing demonstration of love; people from all around got up and came over to those standing and very simply embraced them and gave them money.

Generosity, humility and love all expressed so freely.

The love of the Father, the love of a family.

Amazing and wonderful.

Mark, I wasn't there in person for that service but "attended" with Bethel's Podcast. When Bill's mom played Silent Night it just brought me to tears...what a strong spirit and what talent. Bill's teachings have been for years what I feed on, soak on etc. Some people soak to music, I mostly soak to Bill Johnson. Silly to say but without his Mom we wouldn't have Bill and he has been such an amazing gift to the body of Christ changing it's whole perspective to what Father wants us to focus on...We are so blessed! When Bill took a sabbatical this past year, I so missed him! Thanks for mentioning our newsletter in yours, really appreciate it. Happy New Year to you Mark and the whole Gyde clan. Lots of love always
