A Father to YOU

There are two small words which have completely changed my understanding of God and the way I relate to him. They are very ordinary words that we use a thousand times a day! They are the words “to you” in 2 Corinthians 6:18 – “I will be a Father to you”.

This promise is for everyone. In one sense what our earthly father (or mother) was like is irrelevant. We all need to know the gentle, kind and overwhelming love of Father God. All of us can enjoy the freedom that is promised to his children. We can become rooted and grounded in his love. It is not an optional extra. It is for you! God really, really wants to be a Father to you – personally, today and forever – to you!
