CELEBRATION OF SONSHIP
In a world where everything constantly changes there is some good news! God has a plan that does not change!

Part of His plan is in Romans 8:29 – He chose us to be like Jesus.

At this point in your life that may seem like an unreal and unattainable goal. But God is a Father who wants many children, all of whom are to be like His firstborn son Jesus. There is no need for us to lose heart; as we allow His Spirit to work in us we shall become more and more like Him (2 Corinthians 3:18).

Jesus came to show us the way to the Father and to bring us into relationship with Him. Sadly, many in the church miss out on this as they have not yet found God as Father. Many remain as spiritual orphans, striving for position or function. The church becomes a work house rather than a resting place.

Father is looking for sons and daughters.

Jesus’ identity came solely out of his relationship with His Father. He was always about his Father’s business. It did not matter what he was doing, all he wanted to do was please his Father. His ministry was defined by who he was not by what he did.

What is our identity bound up in?

Jesus shows us how to know the Father. He reveals the Father to us and then shows us the type of life we should lead. A life of rest! (Matthew 11:27-30) It is a life of intimacy, not information. A life where anointing comes from relationship not activity.

Sonship leads us into freedom. Jesus came to proclaim freedom for the captives. We are brought into a family where we have a permanent place, a place where we can be at home and feel safe. Galatians 3 tells us that true sonship is freedom, not slavery.

The freedom of this world leads to despair. But our freedom leads to a restored relationship with our Father. The whole of creation is eagerly waiting for the sons of God to be revealed so that it, too, may be brought into a glorious freedom!

COMING HOME
We have recently held our conference “Coming Home”. The theme of the weekend was to find a place of rest where we knew our hearts had come home to Father. The sessions were recorded and are now available to listen to online or to download. Click here for more details.

EVENTS
There are a few Fatherheart schools in the UK over the next few weeks. See the Events page for more details – click here. Other events will be posted here as we become aware of them.
