FINDING FATHER
Recently my wife came across a book that was written by a friend of their family back in 1962. The author had written this from his personal notes and diary going back over the previous seven years. What became clear was his deep personal relationship with Father. This is what he said:

“It was not enough for God to have a son in Heaven. That son had to be on earth. God was saying that His home is here among men. How could God secure what He was after? Only through those who believed that they were the sons of God.”

 “To me the greatest thing Jesus ever did was finally to overcome and become God Himself. I see that God is man and that man, through the coming of the Spirit of Jesus, can become one with God. God calls such a man His son. A father must have a son. God must express Himself, otherwise He could not be known. That expression is sonship. God cannot express Himself in any other way. He must be Himself.”

 “I used to think that the secret of being able to pray, and to get answers to prayer, depended on the state you were in, spiritually, and that you were asking God for the right thing. Now I know it’s quite different. I have discovered that the real secret is to have the right relationship with God. What is that relationship? God is my Father and I am His son. In that relationship you can ask for anything and get it. You know God has heard you. You know God will answer in His way”. (Jesus – The Inner Spring: Jack Anderson)

What a wonderful revelation! God is a father and He is looking for sons! Our relationship with Him is not defined by us but by Him. This is very liberating; walking as a son will cause us to find our true identity and the freedom promised to us in Romans 8:21 and Galatians 5:1. As we find the Father and come into sonship then we can begin to walk as Jesus walked and see the loving power of the Spirit at work in us and through us.

FATHER’S LOVE LETTER
A few weeks ago I had the privilege of staying with Barry Adams who wrote the Father’s Love Letter. He has an amazing vision to see this delivered to as many people as possible. He simply sees himself as a postman delivering a letter from Father God. At present the Father’s Love Letter has been translated into over 50 languages, and Barry has plans to create as many audio/visual versions as possible.

One aspect of Barry’s vision is to see the Father’s Love Letter delivered to whole towns and cities. Visit Barry’s websites to find out more about this amazing vision.

JOSHUA WALK
At the beginning of January James Jordan and Jan Rijnbeek started walking the length of New Zealand. They have named this the ‘Joshua Walk’ and it is an intercessory act of prayer for that nation.

This is what James says about the reasons for calling it the Joshua Walk:

“Joshua was at heart a spiritual son to Moses like Jesus was to His Father. There is a need for New Zealand to know and walk with our heavenly Father too. We have been an orphan nation and need to know our Heavenly Father in a new a way.

The second reason is because of the words of God to Joshua: "Every place where you put your foot I will give to you". We believe that as we physically put our feet down on this walk we will see the orphan spirit broken over our land.”

Please pray for James and Jan over the next few weeks – they hope to complete the walk by the end of March. As they walk they are also laying a foundation of prayer for their new ministry centre in Taupo. SCHOOLS OF THE FATHER’S LOVE
Are you interested in experiencing more of the Father’s love? Why not attend a week long school to discover the Biblical basis of this revelation and also to receive personal ministry in a safe environment.

The last school took place in November in Hemel Hempstead, UK and here is a personal account from one participant:

“A week in an enclosed space with lots of people and a desperate desire to see something change in my heart turned out to be a recipe for “Change, but not as we know it!” Fast food style change it was not. Rather, a series of ongoing time-delayed bombs have exploded inside me, re-arranging some of the most basic pieces of furniture in both my heart and mind.

I feel as though I am learning a new language as I start to see that I am simply caught up in the love of a wonderful Father and Son. There is a freedom from trying so hard to do the Christian thing and a deeper call to come close. Now I want to find His Presence even more than I did before! Out of this intimacy I am learning to trust “little by little” that fruitfulness will come – this is the work out of rest that I had never understood before!”

A truly life changing experience!
